US Cellular Announced on their Facebook page the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Tab as November 19th. US Cellular stores can start selling the tablets as soon as they arrive. Specifically on US Cellulars web page they state the shipments may arrive early. From past experiences they generally do. Contact your US Cellular rep to notify you. My guess is the tablets will arrive on the 17th or 18th.
Reasons you may or may not get a tablet. If you’re geeky like me having another gadget doesn’t hurt. Practical uses for a tablet are browsing the web on the go. The screen is about 3″ bigger than most phones, which makes browsing the internet a lot more pleasant. Movie lover? Netflix announced they will have an application for specific Android devices soon. My guess for the specific devices will be tablets. Maybe you don’t have a smart phone. The tablet could be used in conjunction with your phone, combined would create a “smartphone”. Because the tablet is running Android you can do everything an Android phone could do except make calls.
